Tamarind Savoring India / Greentree

Tamarind catered our 200-person wedding at The Pennsylvanian (an unconventional venue!), and the food was great. Our guests loved everything - we heard rave reviews throughout the entire weekend, especially of the shrimp! Just as importantly, the Tamarind team was incredibly willing to work with us, our parents, and our wedding planner to bring everything together. They were flexible, collaborative, and thoughtful throughout the planning process, helping us create a menu and experience that felt personal to our families and the celebration. Feeding 200 people is no small undertaking, and they handled it and outside guidance and requests beautifully. We are so grateful to Tamarind for being such an important and memorable part of our wedding.

We had such a lovely meal at Tamarind! The food was absolutely delicious, we had the goat korma, goat curry, and butter chicken, along with two other dishes that I sadly cannot remember the names of, but they were just as good! Everything was so flavorful, and the naan was delicious too. What made the experience even better was how welcoming and accommodating they were with our 9-month-old. She managed to spill quite a bit of rice on the floor, and they could not have been more understanding or kind about it. The staff were so lovely and made us feel completely comfortable. Delicious food and genuinely warm, welcoming service… we will definitely be back!

This restaurant and location is one of my favorites in Pittsburgh. They never disappoint! Great service and absolutely delicious food. I took my 9 year old niece today and we ordered a little bit of everything and she had a blast! The Gobi Manchurian and vegetable dosa were her favorite, followed by chicken tikka masala and the mango lassi. Garlic naan beat the butter or onion but seriously all are amazing. And the staff was so kind and attentive! Such a great experience, thank you 🙏🏻💗

We had such a wonderful experience here. We tried a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was absolutely delicious. The flavors were incredible, and everything was beautifully prepared. The staff were delightful. So kind, welcoming, and attentive which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was calm, comfortable, and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and would absolutely recommend Tamarind. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Catering Experience – Tamarind Savoring India, Greentree We had the pleasure of ordering food from Tamarind Savoring India – Greentree for the 2026 NEOTS Pongal Celebration serving approximately 450 people, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. - Ordered food for 2026 NEOTS Chithirai Celebration for 370 Pople - Ordered food for Arangetram Function on July -5 -2026. For 420 people - Amazing quality , taste, quantity and Raja was so friendly The food quantity was more than sufficient for the large crowd, and the quality exceeded our expectations. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. Some highlights that received tremendous appreciation from our attendees: Pineapple Kesari was absolutely delicious and became one of the crowd favorites. Vegetable Biryani was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tasty. The Tea and Samosas were fresh, crispy, and enjoyed by everyone. The Curd Rice was simply outstanding—the best part of the meal for many guests. Traditional dishes such as Vathal Kuzhambu, Rasam, Bisi Bele Bath, Sweet Pongal, Ven Pongal, Sambar, and Medu Vadai were all exceptionally flavorful and authentic. We received numerous compliments from attendees about the food, and many guests specifically mentioned how much they loved the meal. The catering team delivered delicious food with consistent quality for a very large gathering, which is no small accomplishment.
