7 Monk's Café- Indian & Mediterranean

We had an incredible lunch here today and this place is such a hidden gem. No, the atmosphere isn’t romantic and it’s a bit cafeteria like but the food is what it’s all about and it was worth it from start to finish. We started with the onion pakora and it was an enormous portion (easily enough for 4) and light (not greasy) and delicious. I got the lamb biryani and a butter naan and my sweetie got the butter lamb masala. It was all fabulous, very generous portions and reasonably priced. Our server was polite and the restaurant was very clean. Do come here to satisfy your Indian food craving, you won’t be disappointed.

What a gem in town! They don't cook with actual spices but do use their powder form. Their green chutney threw me off on how good it is. We got chicken biryani and lamb saag with samosa and Hara Bhara Kabab<realllly good> Must try this place if you're in town Great serving size as well for the money.

The masala curry is very very good. As was the baklava and rasmali for dessert. Portions are generous. The atmosphere is nothing special, but tables and chairs inside and out provide options. They seem to do a pretty good take out business. The are licensed and have beer and wine. Prices were pretty reasonable.

I recently had the most exquisite catering order from 7 Monk's Cafe. The food was delicious and catered to every age group. The order varied from buffet to grazing table. All items were carefully planned and executed with so much love. Neeta Tai was hands-on throughout the whole event and heavily involved and excited in the pre-planning stages as well.

Went here after a long day of tubing and it was SOOO fulfilling. The owner/chef (I believe) was the sweetest and was super accommodating to my partner when we didn’t realize our fries had a bunch of cheese on it and he’s not a fan. She kept coming back and checking up on us and offering extra. The hospitality is top tier and food is phenomenal! It’s a great mix of Indian food with Mediterranean twists. Super homey and peaceful atmosphere.

Tried the new Hara Bhara kebab and aloo paneer tikki today. Paired with the green and brown (medium spicy) sauce, is a treat! The restaurant was kind enough to consider adding it to a wrap (instead of falafel) - it was truly delicious. Have visited the restaurant nanny times over the last few years, it remains wonderful.

Second time visiting here. Food is amazing no matter what I have ordered or tried of other people's order. Also great drink and dessert choices.
