The Starling | A Two Birds Event Group Venue

Could not recommend more! The communication was great, venue is gorgeous and well priced. Mandi our coordinator was awesome! Nathan who was our DJ was amazing and we got so many compliments about the music. Thank you to the starling and all the staff that made our wedding so special!

The most perfect venue!! Even though it rained on our wedding day, Abby, our venue coordinator made sure the indoor ceremony was just as beautiful. The bartenders were fun and efficient, the venue has so much natural lighting and greenery that it just speaks for itself. We had the best wedding at The Starling!!

I absolutely love photographing weddings at The Starling! You can’t beat the location along the river, with so many gorgeous spots for photos just steps away. The venue itself is modern, stylish, and has such a fun, welcoming vibe.

We took a gamble on the Starling before the Starling had renovated. They did not disappoint. We initially worked with Tyler. He quickly answered all of our questions about securing the venue and was very flexible in accommodating our smaller wedding. Sarah was assigned as our event coordinator and was fabulous from start to finish. She was really easy to work with. Our ceremony was outdoors on the patio. It was simple, yet beautiful. We leaned into MKE and embraced all the cheers from the boats. Our guests enjoyed drinks on the boardwalk and a place to take a break from the music. Sarah also helped us design a "King's Table" setup inside. The venue didn't feel too large despite only 25 guests. The team did a great job designing a place to eat, a place to dance, and a place to sit. Our guests felt they could move about and enjoy the day in different ways. Nick was an excellent dj. Because it is a small, locally owned business, both Sarah and Nick were doing it all: from bartending to cleaning to helping all of the guests. We appreciated them both. We loved the venue. It felt intimate and relaxed yet everyone was able to dance and sing. We will remember this day forever and we are thankful The Starling and Team were a part of it.

I don't even know where to begin - my husband and I cannot recommend The Starling enough. We had our ceremony and reception at Starling on August 8 and we truly couldn't imagine having it anywhere else. The moss wall and all the plants, the beautiful interior, the boardwalk. The venue speaks for itself and we continually said "even if we had no décor, it would be so beautiful." It checked all of our boxes and just felt like us. We had our ceremony on the boardwalk and one of our favorite parts of the day was the bridge going up and the boats honking and cheering right as we were walking back down the aisle after saying "I do". The true superstar of the day: Matt. Matt gave us our initial venue tour and was then later assigned to be our day-of-coordinator and we were absolutely thrilled. From even our initial meeting with him it felt more like he was our friend than anything. He was always quick to respond, offered us great suggestions and was problem-solving without us even being aware on the day-of. He made sure we were able to actually enjoy our day and demanded that I stop stressing and let him handle anything that arose. If the venue didn't sell itself, Matt would have absolutely sold it. Matt, you’re the best and we’re still talking about you 4 months later! Our guests continue to rave about how beautiful the venue was and how great all the workers were. You can tell the staff takes so much pride in the work they do and that they know their stuff. Having the boardwalk was such a hit and honestly life-saving on a hot, hot August evening. No need to look any further for a venue - BOOK THE STARLING! You’ll have the best day ever.
