Delicious! Eat here you won’t regret it! We will definitely be back. This grocery store + restaurant combo - you can stay and eat in their nice little attached dining area or you can order take-out. We stayed and because we’ve never tried afghan food we ordered the afghan platter for two. It’s a generously portioned platter that features a number of items on the menu. All of it was incredible and I’d order this again. The meats were super tender and so flavorful. The Kabuli Pulao was wonderful - each grain of rice was distinct and perfectly seasoned along with shredded carrots and plump raisins. The platter also included their Chapli Kabob (excellent - hard sear on the outside of the meat patty but nicely cooked center), Chicken Tikka Kabob (can’t remember the last time I’ve had chicken that good), Lamb Tikka Kabob (I was so impressed with this because I’m not always a fan of lamb - as I’m very sensitive to the lanolin/mutton taste it can have - there was not even a hint!) and last but not least the side of fresh naan. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. A real gem!

Found this place tucked next to a grocery aisle and walked out planning my next visit. Mazidar does Indian and Afghan side by side, and both taste like someone’s family recipe rather than a menu built for tourists. The Afghan kabuli pulao was the standout — long-grain rice steamed with tender lamb, sweet carrot slivers, and raisins, exactly the way it should be. The chicken karahi came out bubbling, with tomatoes and ginger cut fresh, not spooned from a tub. Naan arrived hot enough to burn my fingers, straight from the tandoor. Everything tasted clean and freshly made; nothing sat under a heat lamp waiting for me. Service was warm and unhurried, the portions are generous, and the prices are honestly a steal for the quality. The grocery section is a nice bonus if you want to take home spices or fresh bread. Authentic, fresh, and worth the drive. Go hungry

As a fellow Afghan, I can usually tell pretty quickly whether a place is serving authentic food or just putting its own spin on it. Mazidar is the real deal. In Pashto, Mazidar means "tasty," and the name fits perfectly. I ordered the platter and the chapli kabob, and both were outstanding. The chapli kabob was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and tasted just like something you’d get back home. What made it even better was that the owner himself prepared the food, and you can tell he takes pride in what he serves. If you’re looking for authentic Afghan food made with care and quality ingredients, I highly recommend Mazidar Grill & Groceries. I’ll definitely be back.

Amazing food and great service! The kadai was especially delicious and flavorful, well-balanced, and not overly spicy or oily like some Indian dishes can be. We really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back.

The food was authentic and very tasteful. One of the best butter chicken I had so far and the grilled chicken was tender and moist. The rice was cooked perfectly and the goat was very soft and flavorful. Definitely going back to try other dishes. 5 star

Excellent food - some of the best I’ve had in a while. Super generous portions. Service was fantastic and we got treated like friends. Go here if you want some fantastic food with a friendly atmosphere.

Very nice family oriented place. excellent good. The service was great. The cheff himself came to the table and served us the food. Their naans , bihari kabob and and chicken Karhai is a recommendation. I will definitely refer to others and will go back
